Anthony Housey was born on February 26, 1970, in New York, NY, to Willie Mae Housey and Julius Wilson. At age four, he moved to Savannah, Georgia, where he was raised by his beloved grandmother, Lena Ford. There, he grew up, received his education, and laid the foundation for the man he would become.
Anthony was a proud and loving father to his two sons, Anton Nottage and Sheimme Houses, whom he cherished deeply. After his grandmother's passing, he returned to New York City, where he remained surrounded by family. Throughout his life, Anthony worked hard in various jobs, most recently as a security guard, until his health declined.
Anthony was known for his vibrant spirit, unforgettable sense of humor, and love of music, especially Michael Jackson. He loved sneakers, hats, and video games, and he gave everyone unique nicknames that reflected his playful personality. Anthony had a special way of making people feel loved, valued, and seen.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lena Ford; his uncles, Jerry Housey and Perry Housey; and his cousin, Terry Johnson.
Anthony's cherished memory is left to his loving mother, Willie Mae Housey; his father, Julius Wilson; his sons, Anton Nottage and Sheimme Housey; his grandson, Christ Nottage; his aunts, Thelma Frandeno and Ruth Housey; his uncle, Keith Housey; his beloved cousins, “Favorite” Mae Helen Wright (“Mickey a.k.a. Cabbage”), Theresa Wright (“Cookie a.k.a. Black”), Stephaine Wright (“Pumpkin”), Terry Wright (“Dunior”), Ziariah Wright (“Strawberry Head”); his cousin, Erick Frandeno, whom he loved to fight with; and Earl Frandeno; along with a host of relatives and dear friends who loved him deeply.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
