Eric Kodua

Eric Kodua, passed away peacefully at Park Gardens Rehab & Nursing Center on October 14, 2025.

     Born in February 1975, in Akyem Akrofufu, Ghana, Eric was the son of Patrick Kodua and Martha Wiredu. He graduated from Asoum Secondary School and earned his degree in Business Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon; and a College Certificate in French from the Mount Mary’s College. He did continuing online medical education for his work at both Isabella and Fort Tryon Rehabilitation, and Nursing Centers in New York.

      He had a passion for teaching which led him to a career in educating the next generation in schools and churches in Ghana and abroad. Eric was a devoted Christian who cherished his Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. At his young age, he was one of the founding members of the Church of Christ in Akyem Akrofufu, Ghana.

     Eric is survived by his Parents, Patrick and Martha, his nine siblings, five adopted children; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Prior to his death, he phoned his Mom and said, “Although my leaving will cause pain and grief, I’m so joyful to go and be with my Lord Jesus Christ.”

     Eric’s love for God, kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by his family, church members, many friends, and all who knew him.
