Dr. John Henry Coppage was born to the late Jordan Coppage Sr. and Agness Weaver Coppage, in Bethel North Carolina on August 20,1946 and departed from this life February 3, 2025.
Dr. John Henry Coppage was raised in Bethel North Carolina, where he attended Bethel union school. Dr. John Henry Coppage older sister Junelle Brown was a pastor and John Henry would attend services at her church at a young age. He took a strong liking to the church and it was clear at a young age that his life would be dedicated to to serving the lord.
Dr. John Henry Coppage moved to New York City as a young man. In New York city he continued going to church and he became a minister preaching the word of God and serving God was his sole mission in life. He fellowship with many different churches over the years Pentecost, Calvery, New Hope just to name a few. His final home church was MT. Horeb holiness church of God Incorp, under Pastor Odessa Jones.
Dr. John Henry Coppage received his Doctor of Ministry. And he received his certification for Biblical Hebrew 1and 2 studies in 2016 at crossroad Christian academy.
Dr. John Henry Coppage was a kind loving God fearing man. He also was a very private person. He surprised many people when he married on August 14, 2014 to Henrietta Shepard who he called Miss America.They remand together and enjoyed followshiping and serving the lord together until his passing
Dr. John Henry Coppage was the last out of ten siblings to pass.
He preceded in death by Jordan Coppage Jr., Junelle Brown, Gladys Jolly, Helen Taylor, Nettie Person, Georgiana Braggs, Thelma Jordan, Gloristeen Morning, David Coppage.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: his loving wife Henrietta Shepard.His children by marriage, his niece's and nephew's, his church family and a host of relatives and friends.
