Obituary

Lennox Lawrence DeNobrega was born in Georgetown, Guyana to Agnes DeNobrega and Germano DaSilva (deceased) on March 19, 1940, and departed on May 3rd, 2023 at the age of 83 years. He was the grandson of Monica DeNobrega (deceased)and brother to Erna Jardine (nee DeNobrega).

He was baptized, had his 1st Communion and was confirmed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, serving in his younger years as an altar boy and a member of the choir in the said church.  He received his elementary education at Sacred Heart RC school.  He joined the Sea Scouts and served for about 4 years.  

His first job after school in the year 1953 was as a clerk at G. Betancourt and Company Ltd and later joined Dallas V Kidman where he worked for about 9 years.  He became a seaman as deck hand with the Saguenay Lines Inc in the year 1962travelling to various countries for about 2 years.  He retired from sea and then went on to becoming a Security Officer with National Guard Service in 1971 and then on to GEB Security Service as an officer bearing arms until he migrated to the United States in the year 2002 continuing to work in the security field as a Supervisory Security Officer with Agro Security Corp., until his health would not allow him to continue.

Lennox leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 29 years Patrica, children Terry, Dawn, Wayne, Steveleci, Kayumeand Rasheed, grandson Anthony and 5 other grandchildren, his sister Erna, nieces Ingrid and Lisa and nephews Kirk, Christopher and Mark as well as his 5 great nieces, 4 great nephews, 2 great great nieces, 5 great great nephews, brother in laws Joseph, Linden and Errol and sister in laws Lynette and Monica as well as his many cousins, family and friends.

He lived a humble and well meaningful life and though we mourn we believe that he is with the Creator for “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. 2 Corinthians 5:8
