Luis Ortega

Luis  Ortega, beloved son, was born on May 26th, 1947, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. He peacefully passed away on April 5th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Luis was a devoted father to his children, a cherished brother to his siblings, a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, and a great-grandfather.

With a heart full of generosity and kindness, Luis touched the lives of all those he encountered. He had a contagious energy and was known for being the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. His dedication to his work as a computer operator at Columbia University for 40 years was only matched by his passion for practicing and teaching Tai Chi, where he attained the status of master. 

Luis will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom will forever be remembered. May his spirit continue to guide us, and may he rest in eternal peace.
