The Life of Patricia Diane Ellison Patricia Diane Ellison is the fifth of eight children born to Milton and Margree Ellison on August 10, 1955, in Brooklyn New York. Diane was educated in the New York City Public School system and after graduating from Eastern District High School she went on to briefly attend community college in Manhattan in an effort to become a drug rehabilitation counselor. Diane was affectionately called “Chink” while growing up in Bedford-Stuyvesant’s Marcy Houses. Diane was strong and independent and always spoke her mind. She deeply loved her grandchildren and would do anything for them. One of Diane’s favorite songs was “Stairway to Heaven” by the O’jays but she also enjoyed dancing to “Candy” By Cameo. You knew you were loved just by being in Diane's presence and because of this, she will be deeply missed by many. Diane was a great Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, and an amazing cook. She was a friend to many throughout her life and would often help those in need. While Diane held several jobs throughout her adulthood, she lived and worked at Jericho Residence and Treatment Center as a messenger and then as a receptionist. Diane was also devoted to helping the sick and the elderly and later in life became a Home Health Aide with the We Care Program at FedCap. Diane is the mother of two daughters, Darlene, and Selena Ellison, and six grandchildren Amalia Ellison, Destiny Phillips, Ki-Anni Fajardo, Tymel and Jamel Purnel, and Tyquan Stephens. Welcoming Diane into Heaven are, her beloved daughter Darlene Ellison, Parents Milton and Margree Ellison; Brothers Ronnie Ellison, Robert ‘Kitty Boy’ Ellison, Milton “Antione ”Ellison, and sister Zepolia ‘Tootsie’ Ellison David. Diane leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Selena Ellison; Son's in-laws Tyrone Stephens, Nelson Fajardo, Jamel Purnel, and Mekel Phillips. Grandchildren: Amalia Ellison, Destiny Phillips, Ki-Anni Fajardo, Tymel Purnell, Tyquan Stephens, and Jamel Purnell Jr.; Great-grandchildren: Lequan Eley Jr, Ahmir, Ashton, Aiden Eley, Kashiem Britt Jr, and Grace “Gracie” Evans; Siblings: Denise Ellison, Brian ‘Scooter’ Ellison, and Selena Ellison. Great Aunt Virginia Gaston and Great Uncle Freddy E. Gaston Followed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
