In Alexander City, Alabama, Vonceille Weekes, who we all knew as Barney, was born to the late Brack Leonard and Ruby Kate Moon on December 28,1939. This was news to us all as we've always celebrated her birthday on Christmas. A serendipitous advancement that allowed us to
shower her with love on a day already filled with so much cheerfulness. To know Barney was to admire her. She was a strong minded, tough-loving, wise, and observant woman who lived a long and fulfilling life. Barney lived- she traveled, she danced, she loved, and she was a creative person who collected photos, records, and love letters. You'd
be lucky to hear her tales and to feel her unique sense of endearment. Reuniting with her parents, her seven siblings, and her grandson, Calvern Wallace, Barney leaves behind many people who loved her dearly including her one & only daughter Pamela Leonard, her grandchildren Chetta Wallace and Lionel Leonard, and her great-grandchildren, Cinsere Wallace, Nevaeh Ediae, Noah Wallace, and Kaleah Wallace, as well as a host of nieces
and nephews
